Hello, I'm all about less spam, but it appears you haven't saved yourself any work. If the list is moderated, then perhaps the current list could be configured (if it isn't already) to support moderation. I understand anecdotally that Yahoo carries considerable advertising which to me is a different kind of spam. I personally haven't found the current spam level intolerable, even though it is not desirable. Perhaps this infection will run its course, and the list will heal with time.
