Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to read this,

I have a (JESS) system which works quite well. The system consists of a set of rules which write out a story (that changes every time it is run, and the whole point of the system is for users to change the rules so that they can change parts of the story).

It would be extremely useful if these users (who know very little about JESS or even programming) would be able to save the output that they produce, to a file.

I suspect that this is possible, probably by setting the output stream to be a file, and then a few complicated (in my inexperienced eye) commands and it should work fine. I would like the users to be able to do this though, preferably by only having to type one command.

It is probably possible to write a script to do this, and then embed this into the interface that I have (somewhat similar to JessWin at the moment), and make a 'write to file enabled' option. Or possibly even a rule inside my system which would automatically create/open and save all jess output to a default file - though I am unsure of how to do this.

I realis that I should probably have said these things at the Jess poll that was done a while ago - and I appologise if this is the wrong place to ask these things.

Thanks again for your time, I appreciate it.
Regards,
