Bastian,

You should unzip files from Jess distribution and unzip them into eclipse root folder, no tonly to copy ZIP files. The content in ZIP files is stored into folder hierarchy with plugins root, so unziping them into eclipse folder will place them into the correct folder. Folder that you mentioned (gov.sandia.jess_7.0.0) will be created for you.

Hello List,

first of all, sorry for asking *again* about Jess integration into eclipse. I have browsed the list archive but haven't found anything that might help me solve my problem.

I seem not to be able to integrate Jess 7.0p1 into eclipse, v3.2.1. I am running a Windows XP. I try, what the manual wants me to: I unzip all files from the jess archive and copy the .zip files in the jess70p1/eclipse/ folder into the root directory of eclipse. Also, I make sure that there is a directory called plugins/gov.sandia.jess_7.0.0 exists under the eclipse top folder. My filesystem then looks as follows:

c:\eclipse\
             configuration\
             features\
             plugins\
gov.sandia.jess_7.0.0\ ++ this folder is empty
             readme\
             gov.sandia.jess.debug_7.0.0.zip
             gov.sandia.jess.editor_7.0.0.zip
             gov.sandia.jess.feature_7.0.0.zip
             gov.sandia.jess.reteview_7.0.0.zip
             gov.sandia.jess_7.0.0.zip
(results truncated)

When I start eclipse, and click on "Help" and "Eclipse SDK", neither the Jess logo appears in the main window, nor the Jess plug-in shows up in the "Plug-in Details" section.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

Regards,

Bastian
