Long- and mid-term: definitely no. I'd say we should drop the ecs support
as soon as the new portlet API is integrated. Then there is no reason for
using ecs any more. The new API will be a major change for existing portals
that run on Jetspeed anyway - people will have to migrate anyway and I
think it's not too bad to drop ecs support in the same step.
However we could have a poll on the users list and see if there is anyone
who'd get into trouble...
