AFAIK, we all agreed to drop ECS...

Jetspeed already uses templates for the screens/navigations/layouts.
We just need to remove the legacy ECS screens from CVS (it's a release
branch task right now)
What needs to be converted is: controls, controllers, portlets.
I already have a VelocityControl and VelocityPortlet neat ready.
I'll probably commit them wednesday or thursday and then we'll have to
port the existing legacy controls as Velocity templates...
Controllers will come next and are easy to change but won't benefit a lot
from templating since they mainly calculate layouts...

What do you want to convert exactly ? Dropping the ConcreteElement return
of getContent() ? Is Turbine finally completely moving away from ECS for
release ? I thought this was a 2.2 branch item...
