http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20720 [ENH] Refactor SearchService with pluggable document handlers [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|ASSIGNED |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-06-16 20:41 ------- Changes: 1. The search service is now pluggable with Lucene as the default implementation. 2. Document handlers are pluggable. Two sample handlers are provided: url and portlet entry. 3. Admin interface has a portlet for rebuilding the portlet registry index (Portlet Index Manager). 4. By default, the search results will list all portlets regardless of security access. Security will be enforced during preview. 5. Although there's no integrated tool for indexing content other than portlets, you can manually create an index (using PopulateSampleIndices class, for instance) and then use the Portlet Index Manager to add the portlet entries. In this case, the search results may list both portlet preview links and url links. 6. By default, the portlet index is created as concatenation of portlet title, description and categories. This can be easily enhanced - the foundation is there. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
