Then see for example the utils HttpMethodCloner that says in it soruce code
:

 * DISCLAIMER: HttpClient developers DO NOT actively support this component.
 * The component is provided as a reference material, which may be
inappropriate
 * to be used without additional customization.

I found it better than a separate web site, although I don't know about
Apache license, but if people send their source code they might be ok to say
"put them into cvs contrib", is it enough for Apache ? That's what
httpclient devs do I think.
