Great may be we can share your interwoven with us. I
have Open Market experience.

You can read the Portlet-How-To, there is a
step-by-step instruction so you can add the portlet,
the portlet is like a windows used by myCNN, myYahoo
etc. Because right now that is the only documentation
JetSpeed have. That Portlet-How-To is for version
1.3a1. I try it, half working ;( ..

Starting 1.3a2 the jcfg will become xreg, this like a
xml descriptor for portlet-registry. 

You can see, there is a limitation for extending, that
I know, even you use xreg version.
