Please bare with me...(again)

I'm curious to know whether there is a way to uninstall Apache, Tomcat,
Jetspeed, etc from Linux??

Reason being is that I have taken over a project from someone else and I
cannot determine where things are running from (ie. home directories) since
there are so many duplicates? For example, there are at least 4 instances
of server.xml however neither a Tomcat home nor Apache home are defined.
Also, I cannot find the file 'apachectl' on the system at all in order to
stop and start the Apache server. It's just a real mess and I think I would
rather start fresh and do all the compiles and builds myself. My objective
is to build a Corporate portal using Apache, Tomcat, and Jetspeed on a SuSE
Linux system. Anyone have any advice that will help? My ears are open.

Thanks,
Bob Wilson
