I had a hard way to go to extend my user :) but finally it worked. I recommend to use the latest Jetspeed versions, which have a JetspeedUser class, which is an extension to the turbine user. You can add more columns for your database according to the "disabled" col, which follows the "extend user" steps. Be sure however to change the TurbineMapBuilderAdapter and the BaseJetspeedUser as well. With my app, it works fine now, and you do not have to fuddle with any castings and changes in your turbine.prop file

Mrz 2002 16:30 An: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Betreff: Torque After perusing the Turbine extend user howto (http://jakarta.apache.org/turbine/turbine-2/howto/extend-user-howto.htm l) I decided to use Torque in the Jetspeed 1.3a2 source release to extend the TurbineUser class. However, when I looked at the build.properties file for torque it references dbpsml-schema.xml which does not seem to refer to TurbineUser (what is dbpsml-schema.xml for?). How do I use Torque to define extra JetpeedUser attributes and do I need to take any additonal steps? I cannot figure this out from the Turbine extend user howto.
