Open source is the collaborative effort of a community of developers. It is not an "us and them" scenario. If you feel there is a deficiency with a piece of a project (including documentation), step up and fix it.
I suggest to anyone wanting to contribute documentation subscribe to Jetspeed-dev. There you can start the ball rolling on generating documentation.
