JSR 162 was the initial proposal from IBM.
JSR 167 was the counter-proposal from Sun
JSR 168 is the merger of the 2 above after they realised they both
looked really stupid by having 2 independant specification committees ;>

So only JSR 168 is actually active and was supposed to initially have
a public draft in September.
Don't you love these never-ending committees ?

Well that is confusing - the JCP.org also has another JSR 167 and 168
with a description of Portlet Specification. Since the page is viewed
with JSRs in sequential order these might be missed when someone finds
the first record. Might be an idea to have the two withdrawn jsrs
removed from the page or at least reference the new jsr?

Anyway 168 also listed as Portlet Specification is not withdrawn. :)

Portlet API Spec community draft: 10/2002
Portlet API Spec public draft: 12/2002

Any chance since it is 10/2002 we could get a little update on progress
to how it is progressing?
