Amen. SVG fosters all sorts of cool client side UI and DOM manipulation
such as Gerry is proposing. Perhaps not too far in the future SVG will take
over from HTML. (Much like Flash is on some pages, but SVG is way better.)
How about an SVG based portal engine?! B^)
