Joachim, Ok, I looked at the links that you sent to me. They are not ruling out javascript, what this seems to be talking about is being sure that you have a fallback mechanism in case scripting is not supported by the user-agent. Today that is not so much of a problem as before - supporting old school as you said. And if you haven't seen the latest web stats, Netscape 4 users are now almost non-existent. I have sites that just inform users to turn on scripting if they want to use the site or they can just display as limited set of functionality - user choice.
