We are working as fast as we can, I feel we could have a release ready about the same 
time you are, Q1 2004.  I don't know if that would satisfy your needs or not.  The 
best strategy I can suggest is that as soon as the first beta of J2 surfaces, start 
your development.  That way you will have become familiar with how J2 works and will 
be ready to deploy you apps to J2 release when it becomes available.

Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee any of the delivery times :(  since this is open 
source, things move according to the amount of time we can spend working on it.  

If you would like to accelerate this, you could always spend some time working on the 
J2 core ;)  Any help is more than appreciated!
