Sorry I do not know much about Geronimo. But I know one thing and that
is the auto-deploy feature has to be on for the JSR168 portlet
deployment to work. Atleast that is the case with tomcat. Sometime back
I had tried to get the deployment going without the auto-deploy turned
on but did not succeed. After looking through the code and some reading
I figured that the if I want to do everything at startup then the JSR168
deployment is dependent on this auto-deploy feature of the container.
Well keep looking somebody will answer or you will find something on the
mailing list. This list has not disappointed me in the past..:-)

By the way I think you may have already looked at this but just in case
(:

"If you did not use the Auto Deployer, you will need to register the
portlet application with Fusion using the Fusion JSR-168 Registration
program* (from the Admin/Security tab under Admin account)"

This is something I found as a note for deployment in Weblogic at this
site:
http://wiki.apache.org/portals/Jetspeed2/Fusion

Sorry I cannot help much.
Regards,
Archana

Subject: Re: JSR 168 portlets in WAR

hi,

thanks for the reply. I am not using Tomcat i am using Geronimo. So
the autodeploy does not work. Hence i want i want to know how to
register the war that contains the portlet in jetspeed/fusion.

I want to ship a EAR that contain jetspeed war and another war that
contains all portlets. so that when goes to jetspeed he can select the
JSR 168 portlets required. I dont want autoDeploy as it works only in
tomcat.

any help appreciated as i am not getting any answers
