Hi,

Following is my code for doView and doEdit. Am I missing something ?

protected void doView(RenderRequest request, RenderResponse response)
            throws PortletException, IOException {

        PortletSession session = request.getPortletSession();

session.setAttribute("TestData","data1",PortletSession.APPLICATION_SCOPE
);

}

 protected void doEdit(RenderRequest request, RenderResponse response)
            throws PortletException, IOException {

        PortletSession session = request.getPortletSession();
        if(session.getAttribute("TestData") != null){
                System.out.println("TestData is not null");
        } else {
                System.out.println("TestData is null");
        }
}

I'm getting TestData is null on the console.

Please help me !!! Thanks in advance.

If that is in fact the case, it sounds like a bug to me. What version
are you using? I am using 2.0 and session values are definitely
persisting from view to edit modes...
