YES !! This is a great idea, Jon !
I agree with you about the login system, after all this is an open source
project. If the project start to rely upon proprietary code everywhere it
ends up reduced to be an application.

I'm sorry to inform that these ideas are being HEAVILY considered (refer to
Sun X IBM war in the last news and THINK).
