Hi,
I am trying to install Jetspeed 1.2b for some days now ans am stuck with
some problems. Maybe somebody could help a newbbe in Jetspeed
Problem 1: Mail notification when creating a new account does not work. The
new entry in the database is created, but no message containing the code is
sent. The mail server in TurbineResources.properties is OK, and the Jetspeed
server has mail privileges on our mail server.
Problem 2: Cocoon content. The four sample application (XSP application,
configuration, search and browse portlets) all generate a file called
_jetspeed.java in the repository, but once compiled the _jetspeed.class file
remains there, and no re-compilation occurs. That means the first
application started with a freshly started Jetspeed will appear again and
again, no matter which application is started thereafter. Is it correct that
the file always has the name _jetspeed.java? I would expect that each
application produces a different file or a different directory for caching.
What's wrong with my installation? I don't have any error messages in my log
files.
Problem 3: Personalization. When I use the "configuration portlet" the web
page appears, describing that I could configure my portal using boxes and
content, but neither boxes nor the list of contents can be seen.
Where can I find more information about proper Jetspeed installation, or has
anybody a solution /idea about my problems?
