Craig,

I also want to get jetspeed running with the latest cool stuff being done in
turbine asap.
Ive been monitoring the emails for the last 5 days, and I haven't seen much
activity on jetspeed.

I would also like to take a stab at getting it to work, i have the time, but
being very new to open source, i am not sure how to go about it.

I believe you can get to the latest source via cvs, but you cannot not make
an submissions to the codebase until you are approved to work on it. There
is a process you have to go through, find out more about how that works,

David

Subject: Making jetspeed work with new turbine

This was discussed a bit last week, but I haven't seen any
traffic about it over the past several days.

The recent changes to Turbine (notably in the User class
tree design and packaging) have made recent Turbine builds
incompatible with Jetspeed. I desperately want to use the
new Turbine user authentication model, but as my app is
a Jetspeed portal, I can't do so while this situation
persists. Complicating the issue is the fact that I haven't
had success building Jetspeed from CVS for several weeks;
I've fallen back on 1.2b1 with some local modifications,
hoping 1.2b2 will be out soon.

So, my question: Is anyone out there working on this problem?
If not, I would love to take a stab at it myself, but again,
being unable to build Jetspeed from CVS, I'd have to do a
branch from 1.2b1, which seems horribly wrong. Any advice,
progress reports, or the like would be most welcome.
