Ingo has sent some patches, and also Thomas, from IBM labs. They have been
working very actively in the list and the project. If they desire to contribute
actively with write access, I am a clear +1 on them.
Apart from having more people with write access, we should probably have some
division of primary responsibilities, like web, documentation, finishing release
1.X (different functionalities), designing architecture for 2.X, starting
experiments on it, ...
In the next two months, I will be very occupied helping a team to put a propotype
site, base on the Jetspeed code base, here in Spain.
So, I'm a good candidate for bug fixing and any "feature sweeping" needed to have
something fully functional fast, so that we can have a functional version before
Christmas. During this rush, I will priorize speed of development and robustness
over other criteria, except when performance is too bad.
I will also try to work in the Architecture enhancements and better
turbine/cocoon integration, maybe just comenting random thoughts and concerns
(I'm random myself :-)
I am very happy (and a little bit frightened) because the thing is moving much
faster now. Back in june, it looked to me like a good starting point for our
work. Now I feel it is beginning to be much more than that.
