I think it would be very helpful if the mailing list was broken into even
more mailing lists. For example, installation, proposals, portlets, and
documentation. This may be overkill, but it would be great for looking
through archives and filtering the current onslaught of emails.

First off, it would need to follow the naming conventions of the lists
that
are currently on the Jakarta site.
So, it would be:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Next, the issue would be the confusion between working-dogs.com and
jakarta/java apache which I'm not ready to deal with quite yet.
So, I'm +1 on this proposal with the names I mentioned above...AFTER...I
get
the rest of Jakarta and Java Apache merged together which I'm working
hard
on right now.
Also, Kevin, I think it is pretty bad of you to ignore your users. Of
all
people, you should be the most interested in what your users are doing
and
the problems they are facing so that you can improve Jetspeed based on
their
feedback.
