My classpath has all the jars only from the distribution 9.1.4 distribution, I have downloaded the distribution again. I got that reason from looking up on internet. Will try it again with the downloaded distro. Yes, from reading about jetty for last 3-4 days I thought that jetty start would be a better option for using jetty.xml, will try that next. Right now the minimal websocket example working is an achievement from where I stand. Thanks very much for all your help. -Anu
