I have found that for oil or grease stains
the best thing to do is wet it down (the stain) with something like "shout" (I
live in Canada so don't know your product names if you are in the US) or
another liquid or gel stain remover. Get it really wet and then cover it totally
and thickly with baby powder (pack it down) and let it sit for a few hours
or more. Then wash and the stain should come out. The baby powder seems to soak
up the oil or grease. Works best with new stains that haven't been washed or
dried yet. Oxy clean also works well for most other stains. Hope this helps, it
does the trick for my daughter's clothes and she works as a cook.
