Shona,
This is my second baby. Had the epidural with my
first and really liked it. <g> But I was induced 4
times with her (long story), we lived 10 minutes from
the hospital, and I was due in the summer. Now we
live 40 minutes away in another state, I am due during
snow season, and pain is not my strong point. I could
get tattooed all day long, but labor? Forget it. My
mil was teasing me this morning about my pain
tolerance. I would rather be punched in the face than
have labor pains. Weird, I know. Plus the thought of
an episiotomy scares me. After dd was born, I thought
I'd never get back to normal. I did though. :)
My sil had the same thing happen with her 3rd, the
epidural kicked in after the baby was born. Ugh!
