I've gone through closets & dropped off several bags of things at the Goodwill. I went through several big ones taking up space in the kitchen & managed to get rid of/put in its place/ a lot. I've also gone through a few of the (MANY) boxes still in the garage & likewise, have lots of little stuff I didn't know what to do with scattered over one half of the garage (the half I used to park in LOL). [note: the other half of the garage is FULL of boxes]
