Hello Littermates,
Well. For those of you who were working, I worked
with you. My master bedroom is done! I did in front
of the closet (piles), the closet (just hung stuff up,
got the baskets out and to dd's room for now), the
vanity(dusty and cluttered), my files (thought of
Louise and Sherry, know how you guys love to file
<g>), and my dresser. It took a long time, but it
really wasn't that much. I threw out a lot of expired
stuff, some old nail polish, and quite a bit of junk.
The filing took the longest. I have a plastic box
with 2000 and 2001 bills in it, all the files are
current, made some new labels, put the copier paper
box that I keep my notebooks and binders and all the
crap that I print off of the net in behind my rolling
file thingy.
My dresser, which I was dreading was actually the
easiest. It has 2 baskets on it now and I really like
the way it looks. I keep looking around just admiring
my handiwork. I even brought dd in here before I put
her to bed and asked her what she thought. She said
there was 'more room to spin'. That is always a good
thing. :)
Did I mention that dh fixed and rehung the closet
door? It had been off for almost a year. He also
hung 16+ pictures for me. It looks like people
actually live here. I thanked him over and over
again. Of course, he didn't put the box of nails away
but....
I only have 2 piles, one goes in the fire box I sit on
to be at the computer (computer is on a dresser, I sit
on a pillow on the fire box, I am getting a computer
desk down in the kitchen SOON) but that has to be
weeded out and I had enough of filing for one day.
The other is 6 shirts that I like but don't wear
often. They are going under the bed but I was too
tired to get down on my hands and knees and do that.
So...
I figured you guys would be proud that I am actually
using some of the baskets that I keep telling you I
bought. They were hidden in the closet for a long
time. Dh saw them today and didn't say much. Lucky
me. Now I just have to find a place to use them.
Dh said the bedroom is 'getting there'. Made me a
little irritated, but he did help today so I didn't
say much. He also told me that he didn't care how
much crap I piled in the basement right now, he just
wanted the upstairs 2 floors presentable and clean. I
hate to tell him that he is going to be sleeping in
the basement once the baby comes. <g> It isn't too
bad. I have storage space and room to put stuff down
there. Plus, I have stuff that will be leaving for
consignment. Nothing is too heavy, just bulky and my
mom is coming on Wednesday to help me.

Tomorrow my mil is coming to help with dd's room, I
think. It depends on how I feel, what I can get done
in the morning before 11 am, and what her schedule is.
She said that she should make me panic more often. I
tried to explain to her that I wouldn't want her to
see it so messy, my embarassment factor. She
understands. I also mentioned that I thought it would
be good for her to see the mess that dh makes. She
said she knows all about it.
The downstairs is ok, but needs to be vacuumed (again,
dh and those darn pretzels and chips in the living
room). I rested on my laurels from last week too
long, I think. I did the dining room table tonight,
cleaned the counters, the stove after dinner, did the
dishes. We had food from the crockpot. I was
thinking ahead. <bg>
Anyone up for working tomorrow? I have to get up, get
showered, vacuum the main floor, and start on dd's
room. Any takers? Anyone? Well, I don't know if
I'll be online or not until afternoon, but I WILL be
working.
Julie
who's ta-da list is bigger than she thought. <G>
