Sherry - Since the garage is now closed in to the family room - do you have a shed? If not, maybe you should get your husband one for his birthday! Sort of a gift for both of you LOL! It would cut down on the power struggle over the clutter.
I haven't priced them, but they have those nice plastic ones (big, heavy duty) at home depot. It might be something worth saving up for...
