Chase is signed up for Drivers Ed in June - and he'll be 16 in July. He's pretty mature for his age in some ways, but still I've been in no rush to have him driving asap. I consider it another sign of his maturity that he has not bugged me about driving. He's very aware of the costs and responsibilities.

I also thought they had to finish the class portion of the work before getting a permit - I think that might be the rule here. My understanding is that you cannot get a permit at 15 or 16 without the Drivers Ed certificate. I'll check with the instructor on that though. Lucky for me, I talked to his girlfriend's mom and she signed up for the same class, so we can share the transportation to and from classes - which was going to be a problem for me. YESS! Just another sign to me that everything will work out in its own time...
