Oh boy guys, I sympathize with all of you that have been sick lately. Here I just found out that my youngest was positive for strep & now I either have strep or the flu. I have never felt so bad in my life. Every inch of my skin hurts, my head is pounding, I couldn't be any colder if I was naked in a snowstorm (not a pretty picture). LOL I had the doctor's office fax over orders for a strep test at the lab but by the time I picked up the kids from school dropped off the overdue library books & tried to by a birthday gift at Kmart for a birthday party tomorrow (no luck-he wants a model) and rushed to the lab they had already locked the doors. It wasn't closing time yet but when they are crowded they just lock the door early & ignore the knocking. My doctor won't give an antibiotic before she has the test results so I just have to tough it out. It wouldn't have been so bad but DH was on a double today and I had to ask him to come home early. I couldn't move I was so dizzy & weak. I couldn't fix the kids dinner so who knows what they ate. Unfortunately there weren't any leftovers in the frig. They hadn't painted their pinewood derby cars & the race is at 9:00 in the morning. DH has to work tomorrow too so I was going to have to take them. Luckily a friend that normally works every Saturday took off work to take his son so he is going to pick up my boys. If I am feeling up to it I will go over for a while since I want to go to the lab anyhow. I was told that the lab opens at 7:00 am on Sat. & their are usually about 40 people waiting in the hallway when they do so I am not going early. I have hardly touched any food in over 2 days and so far am down about 15 lbs. I must have been coming off for a while but I guess I haven't weighed myself lately. I have been nibbling on some of those Keebler Club cracker since I am hungry but I just feel so sick. It was weird-when I was freezing I thought my fever was up but it was only about 99.5 and I went to sleep & woke up sweltering and it was up to 101.5. I took some Tylenol before I went to sleep & I just took ibuprofen. I just have rarely had fevers in my life & I never throw up. I wish I could-maybe it would relieve the abdominal pain that I am having. At least there isn't any school on Monday but tomorrow was going to really be a busy day. I just came downstairs to check my email & touch up the paint job on my son's car since DH didn't help him at all. Man, I just turned my head & I could hear my neck creaking. Can you tell that I am not good at being sick? I think I need to go lay back down. I have to get the boys out the door at 8:30 & I hope somebody hears the alarm.
