Diane,

Well.....<hangs her head in shame>

Dd and I woke up late.  I mentioned to dh last night that if he had time today that I would like to go to the consignment shop and have him look at a dresser that I was very interested in.  Well, he wanted to go before I even was awake.  He is a morning person and I am a night owl.  <sigh>  We dropped dd off at my mom's (the consignment shop is NOT a place for little hands AND my checkbook).  We looked at the dresser.  Then we went to another consignment shop.  He liked the dresser but thought we could do better price wise.  That was why I wanted his opinion.  I couldn't justify spending the money without his input. :)

Well.  We went back to mom's.  Had lunch.  Toyed around with the idea of dh going on ahead and getting whatever it was that he needed to get done, done and my mom and I going to a moving sale.  Wasted enough time that the sale was almost over.  Dd and I came home with dh and he went out.  This was a good thing as our neighborhood is probably filled with the most inconsiderate people in the US.  The kids run wild, they play soccer in the parking lot and don't care if they hit the cars, scream at the top of their lungs.  The adults pull up in their cars and either blast music or the horn.  I won't even go into the banging at night or the vacuuming at 1 am.  I hate living in a townhouse!!!!  I was getting annoyed to say the least.

Dd isn't feeling well.  Her potty habits have changed from being difficult to the other end of the spectrum and very smelly.  I'll leave it at that.  She also told me tonight that she wanted to throw up.  No fever though.  She was content just to lie on the sofa and have me stroke her hair (a sure sign that she is sick, the kid never sits still).

Needless to say, I didn't get much done in the house today.  Dh did start to fix the lingerie chest that my parents brought up.  We took the legs off of it as they are VERY warped.  He also glued it and clamped it to straighten it.  I may sand the nasty finish off of it tomorrow and let dh put a few coats of polyurethane on it.  I haven't decided.  He is taking the legs and trim (all secured together for some odd reason) down to the carpenter at work and Wes (the carpenter) will rip new trim for it.  He will also make new legs.  I would like some "ball feet" like you see on sofas, I don't know if it would look right.  Wes will make it look good.  Well, as good as it can.

I have plans for working in the house tomorrow.  I also need to go to Wal Mart, but that can wait until dh is back to work on Tuesday.

Thanks for joining in. Don't overdo it, remember whatever you do will be better than nothing!

The thought of packing up and moving my stuff motivates me too. Just the thought of unloading the attic is very scary...

Hope your dd is okay today and doesn't have the flu.

Diane
