A similar method that sometimes works for me, is to make a list of only 9 things. Make them specific so they are small. For example, instead of clear floor in living room, I might list, 1)pick up toys off living room floor, 2)reshelve books, 3)pick up dirty clothes from living room floor, 4)take dirty dishes from lr to kitchen, 5)fold throw blanket, 6)put movies back in respective cases, 7)wrap up nintendo cords, etc. Each item is small, takes very little time so you get a sense of accomplishment. Choose a number and list that many tasks. DO NOT take on any more tasks until those are done. Then you can make a new list of the same number of tasks and do them. Remember to keep your tasks small. Each item should take 2 to 5 min only. If it helps, post a mini list here, then go do it. When you are done, come back and report in. There is always someone to give you feedback and encouragement.
