down the Christmas tree.  Yes, of course it was still up all this time.  I 
would have informed you if I had completed the task sooner.  Every time I 
walked through the living room or sat at the Kitchen table I could feel the 
tree looking at me.  LOL  Talk about guilt.  It was chastising me for not 
watering it anymore, turning the lights on it anymore, looking lovingly at 
the ornaments the boys had made anymore, but still not taking it down & 
putting it to rest with all of the other great Christmas trees up in the 
sky!!  I have separated all of the ornaments into about 8 shallow 3"-4" boxes 
that I brought home from Costco for sorting craft items & I have them stacked 
on the floor against the wall where the tree was.  I have to get up into the 
attic to bring down the boxes that the ornaments get packed back into.  I 
still have the jillion snowmen that are scattered everywhere to gather up but 
I will wait until I bring down the boxes for that.  I managed to stuff the 
entire 8' tree into one of those tree bags & carried it through the kitchen & 
out the door & chucked it over the deck railing.  I felt a little guilty but 
exhilarated at the same time.  It weighed practically nothing since it was so 
dried out and half the needles were left behind on the floor-at least it is 
hardwood & easy to sweep.  Tomorrow I will try to finish the ornaments or at 
least put some order to the living room.  My DH warned me that I wasn't going 
to Disney with them next month if the tree didn't go soon.  I used to take 
the tree down about the middle of January & then it got closer to the end & 
then last year it was into February...but this year really took the cake.  I 
really don't have any excuse for it other than I just didn't want to face it. 
 After older DS had bronchitis for 2 weeks in January & then the next 2 weeks 
trying like mad to make up all of his schoolwork, then younger DS had the flu 
& strep throat & then I got it....well I was so weary from all of that I did 
everything but.  I put the tree over the fence into the backyard (ours is a 
separate squared off area in the woods out back) since I missed the trash men 
this morning.  I saw no need to point out to all the neighbors how nutty I 
am!!!  It has been so cold & windy lately with my luck it would have blown 
into someone else's yard if I hadn't chucked it over the fence anyhow.

Well, there you have it.  Top that for procrastinating!!!!
