Guess what? My tree is still up. For the first time ever, I took my entire artificial tree, decorated only with lights, and put it in my storage building. I covered it with old sheets to keep it from getting dusty. So far it looks ok, but I won't know if it worked until December!
I started putting the lights on my tree by wrapping them individually, branch by branch, a few years ago. This is really beautiful, but takes a long time to do. Taking the lights off seems to take even longer.
For years I have said that I was going to store my fully decorated tree in a closet and then just pull it out at Christmas! LOL! However, this is the first year that I have done anything remotely like this!
Reading about your tree made me remember mine .:o)
