Hi Diane. Unfortunately, we had no notice of the power failure other
than about 10 min. of flickering lights. I managed to get jugs of
water ready and the tub almost full for flushing toilets. Gathered
candles and made sure that the oil lamp was working and the kerosene
heater was ready to go. I don't think that I'd moved that fast in a
long time!! LOL. We had extremely high winds and my kids were out, so
after the power went out, so did I! I went looking for the kids, who
were supposed to be on the way home. By the time we all got home, we
were soaked to the skin, but safe.

I've done 2 loads of laundry and the dishes. Have a pot of chicken
soup on the stove and another batch of muffins in the oven. This is
spring break here, so I have a houseful of kids all the time. Just
trying to keep them fed is a challenge in itself!!!! At least I know
where my kids are ( and every other kid in the area! LOL
