You are right, it is the invasion of privacy more than the actual "stuff" that gets taken from you. Recently we have had yard stuff--bike, scooter, skate board--taken from our yard. They belonged to my son, and I am sure it was probably kids in the neighborhood who took them, as they were later found in a ditch in front of our house. He also was upset, and now is becoming distrustful of anyone walking by our house. I am sure he will overcome this, but I also know that a piece of his innocence has been lost.
