Hi Karen!! -
Gee - I have read enough (by going
backwards through the posts) to get to yours! It is good to know - and
be told - I was missed!
Area I'm working on - hmmm - I
guess it is the computer room. I did a mass pickup/ stuff
everything into the empty bookshelves to get ready for the
minister who married my son and daughter-in-law (and his wife AND 2
daughters.) They are friends (I think!!! LOL) who stayed with us FIVE days
before the wedding - it could have been worse - they were planning on being
there NINE DAYS. It is hard for me to get ready for
overnight-1-day-type-of-guests, let alone for 4 people staying that amount of
time - and I didn't invite them - they just sort of announced that they were
coming on Wednesday (and staying through Sunday) and they were sorry they
couldn't come the Saturday (9 days!!!!) before!!!!!!!!.
It is my own fault - I should have
just said - look you guys - you know I love you but there is no one on
earth that I can deal with as a house guest for that long with all that I have
got going on. (I rented the community hall and for the rehearsal supper turned
it into a fairyland Italian bistro thing and cooked lasagna, a wonderful
(and expensive salad :0( ) and cheesecakes (3 kinds) for 44 people.) But
I didn't speak up (though I did pray and God took pity on me and they couldn't
come when they originally planned.)
While the friendship remains I need
space for a while. The youngest (they homeschool - hence I had the whole
family) is a brat - and while I love the mom - she is a very high maintainence
friend. She got jealous because I spent an hour in the whirlpool with my
oldest and dearest friend (since we were 11!) on the morning of the
wedding - laughing and catching up. Good Lord, I had spent
days with her - the minister's wife I mean - are you confused yet?
LOL!!!!! I did do 2 smart things - I announced that they were on
their own for lunch - and since the youngest is allergic to cats (and I have
5) - I made up the beds in our camper for them. (Otherwise it would have been
parents on the futon in the living room, one child on the couch and one on the
couch in the computer room and total confusion the whole
5 days!! That gave me a little break at night at least.
Phew - sorry Karen - guess I
needed to vent!!! At any rate - I need to sort all the boxes, papers, baskets
etc of stuff that I stuffed into the shelves in the marathon 20 hour
cleaning session I had to get ready for the visitors. (Which did such a
number on my leg muscles that my fibro took over and I could hardly walk for 3
days.) As you may be able to tell - the wedding was a little stressful!!!) I
stuffed more than just stuff on those shelves - I stuffed a LOT of
emotions! I didn't even know I was going to unload on you! (Pardon the pun!)
So I think maybe I just purged the crap I had stuffed inside - now it is time
for the computer room. So much for my earlier plans of taking stuff to
Goodwill - I was going to just write you a quick note.......famous last words.
I gotta run.
LWL,
Mindy

Let us know which room/area you
will be working on this week.....
then get your rear in gear &
declutter a bit, my dear!

Keep smiling,
