Sometimes I have to wonder about my luck (or lack thereof). I picked up the
computer on Friday, but it isn't working yet. I had hoped to get it going
over the weekend, but no luck. My son's girlfriend's dad has taken it to work
on and he thinks he can fix it. I hope so, because its a pain not having a
computer at home.

When the detectives carried the computer out to my van Friday, they told me
that I'd better get new tires ASAP because I was about to have a blow-out.
Sure enough, on the way home my van starts vibrating and by the time I got
home one tire had metal sticking out of it. To top that off, my neighbor
comes over after I pull into the driveway and tells me that water is running
out from under the hood. I need a new radiator as well~!

I filled the radiator and drove slowly on the back roads to Sams, where I got
new tires installed. We put Stop Leak in the radiator to hold it til I can
replace it. My neighbor said he would do it, but he's been on the road the
past few days. Hopefully he can get to it later this week, because I'm afraid
to drive too far til its done.

All I can say is Thank God this happened at home and not while I was on the
road with the kids for soccer tournaments. At least the van has good timing~!
I have to get it back in shape before soccer starts again. I still need to
get the oil change and get the front end aligned. Times like this I remember
why its good to have a man in the house...
