"we see between 12-15 patients a day, and are expecting more patients to
be coming for medical services, because of the availability of the
clinic".
"There is only one Government own Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) in
Kuacjok Town serving an estimated people of 400 000 people".
According to Mr Anin Ngot the clinic''s Manager the Company was inspired
by the huge need of medical services among Kuacjok residents, and
surrounding communities to open its branch in Kuacjok Town, in order to
meet some of those medical needs. "We discovered that our people are in
serous need of basic health services, and most of them can not afford even
the transport to Wau which is 50 SDG= $25 leave alone paying the medical
bill" said Mr Ngot.
He also added that they are trying to support the Government of Warrap
State in providing affordable and quality health services to its citizens
as well as providing job opportunities for skilled returnees.
"We are coming alongside our Government to give health care services to
our people and we wanted to create employment opportunities for trained
health workers who are coming back either from Khartoum or abroad" Mr Ngot
said.
Good Samaritan Medical Clinic started its first operation in 1990s in
Mayen Rual a small Town in Gogrial East County during the war to provide
basic health services to local communities who were cut off from accessing
