The delegation went to discuss issues on secession of States in areas related to international treaties which regulates and manage boarder regimes with neighbouring Countries that Sudan has concluded since its independence in all aspects. “Our main purpose was to ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Government of National Unity, GONU, to hand over to the Ministry of Regional Corporation the original agreement for the international borders. And we have put that request before them and they have promised to look in to their archives,” Dr. Salwa explained. The South Sudanese diplomats in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Khartoum are recalled all over the world according to the Dr. Salwa. “They (South Sudanese diplomats in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) have been recalled from all Sudanese Embassies around to report before the end of March. So it is a week now for all of them to report to Khartoum. But we know that the CPA is still on up to July,” Salwa continued She said that they also agreed that the diplomats should be given a repatriation package because they were being detached from working with the GONU’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She elaborated that South Sudan had decided to be independent and it’s the responsibility of the Government in Khartoum to transport them to their respect homes in the South, so that they can take their families and travel home in a dignified way.
