Government of South Sudan unfounded accusation against SSLA in recent
cattle raider in Warrap State:
After losing security provision in Southern Sudan, SPLM/A led
government began to level fails accusation on SSLA in recent cattle’s
raiders in Warrap state. The cattle wrestling in Southern Sudan had
been security phenomena since 2005 while government had no solution
particularly from states level.
Greater Baher elgazel region witness many insecurity and
corruption while state of warap experience most in clans and sections
fight and changes governors four times in a row because of inability
and bad governance.
In current situation in Warrap, SSLA have no linked neither
encouraging cattle wrestling between the communities. In our finding,
Unity state Governor Taban Deng encourage civil population to further
is political propaganda against the SSLA.
We are wonder who should be responsible for civil population? It
is crystal clear that government should bear responsibility of civil
population and accountable to their security and regulates their order
too, but govern- mentality of GOSS want to blamed the rebel.
There are human rights abuses in different part of the South Sudan
which committed been committed by the SPLA? As it is enshrine in South
Sudan constitution SPLA suppose to be the security provider for South
Sudan citizens. The people are been hunt downed and their villages had
been burned by the very Government that should protect them.
In Jongali state hundreds are dying daily in Piobor county. Also,
systematic killing it is now taking place in Shullok kingdom in Upper
Nile State but GOSS turned the deaf ears on that.
In this regard base in our facts finding and rapid escalating of
insecurity in many part in the South, we therefore inform the peace
loving community to condemn these barbaric activities committed by the
SPLA in Greater Upper Nile and northern Bhar elgazels to desist and
take those who committed the crime into book.
