Subject: some questions HI,
I am using jffnms on windows 2000 server as an
alternative for what's up of Ipswitch. (not enough ways to change things.
Everything concerning graphs and tftp-gets works fine. It is aimed to monitor a
number of 100 cisco's and other routers. But now the most important,
besides the graphs I also need things like uptime and reachability, which should
need to be reached by icmp-pings. I have read in your manual that reachability
is not possible due to the fact that fping doesn't work on windows. What is
exactly the reason ? (since there is an fping.exe). What I need is that the
customer who logs in also can see his ups and downs of his router, which means
that if fping.exe cannot work, i will have to find an alternative (normal
ping??)
Anybody any ideas ?
Greetings,
Johan
