Hi Johan,
The "fping.exe" available in Windows is not the Unix FPING. So they just share the same name. Nothing else.
You can see the Ups and Downs of the router if you have SNMP. Most of the JFFNMS users have SNMP access to the router, so they can see the interface Up/Down, traffic etc.

HI,
I am using jffnms on windows 2000 server as an alternative for what's up of Ipswitch. (not enough ways to change things. Everything concerning graphs and tftp-gets works fine. It is aimed to monitor a number of 100 cisco's and other routers. But now the most important, besides the graphs I also need things like uptime and reachability, which should need to be reached by icmp-pings. I have read in your manual that reachability is not possible due to the fact that fping doesn't work on windows. What is exactly the reason ? (since there is an fping.exe). What I need is that the customer who logs in also can see his ups and downs of his router, which means that if fping.exe cannot work, i will have to find an alternative (normal ping??)
Anybody any ideas ?
Greetings,
Johan
