Mario, very good idea. With any linux distro, fping works great.

You could trie to compilate it with cygwin, but i didnt succeed in getting it compiled. Even the fping-command you will find on the internet, like on http://www.kwakkelflap.com/fping.html , is another fping as the one on linux and will not work.
