Johan,
I've never seen a MPLS network yet. :)
I was scheduled to start working on a company that had one, but it didn't happen. I read a lot about MPLS, but I've never worked on such network.
Javier
PD: I'm working on fixing the problem you saw in the customer view in 0.8.0-pre1

Javier,
Do you have experience with jffnms-monitoring cisco-routers in mpls networks ?

Javier,
Is it possible that in the new version, the users-part is not being transfered yet ? When I try to add a user, I receive this error : Warning: current(): Passed variable is not an array or object in /var/www/jffnms2/lib/api.classes.inc.php on line 495
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/jffnms2/lib/api.classes.inc.php on line 497
Also when I try to click performance, logged in as customer, (filtered as user, to see events), I dont see the interfaces in interface selector.
When
I log in as administrator, I see the interfaces for this customer.
Greetings, Johan

Hi Johan,

Javier,
Thx a lot for the answer. I was planning to do final transfert. When approximately do you think the host config screen will be converted ?
I
have
couple of requests : on system we run, consumerslogin to view their router graphs. What
they
ask,
is that they are also able to see when their router is up and down,
i.e.
that they can see their events. I know I can use filters with users.
Would
it be possible that this can be linked to customers ?
The correct way to do this, is using Users and the 'Customer Filter'
profile option.
For managing purposes of the system it would also be nice to implement
a
search function. We are running the system with some 350 routers, and sometimes it is hard to find what we look for.
In 0.8.0-pre1 you now have a filter option on top of every
administration
screen, that should help you to select items, click on the Filter icon
beside
the Field name.
And request number three : to
enable a way to add new fields, which could be inserted in the
interface
selector. (the question i asked a week ago : that solution is a bit
risky).
Not gonna happen soon, I'm planning hosts types, that is host with their
own
type fields, and we already have interface types fields. But the GUI for
it will
be too much to put on a page.
If you want this you will need to code.
And request number 4 : something i want to make it happen and I know
it
is
not easy :): linked to the config hosts screen with the downloaded
configs,
i would like that there would be a query on the downloaded configs,
for
decrypting the cisco passwords and put them in a database (the mysql database), and having together with the downloaded configs a database
with
the passwords. Voila that's it.
You can use a third-party descriptor for that, The main idea behid hosts
configs
is backup and restore with diff.
By the way, i find the new interface marvellous, really you did a
great
job.
I'm glad you like it.
Greetings, Johan
Javier
