I am running the JFFNMS 0.8.2 system on a Fedora 3 system, soon to move to Debian system.
First question:
I understand the JFFNMS can pull and save configurations from routers and switches to a database. The documentation is not real clear on how to do this. Could someone please explain what I need to do to make this work?
Next question:
Has anyone done any performance testing on using MySql verses Postgresql data base engines, probably at the current levels of both databases? I have read that in some cases Postgresql is better and others have said MySql is. Not wanting to start any arguments here, but I am just trying to get the best bang here. Yes I understand performance questions are an open ended thing.
Lastly, is there some reason why its next to impossible to download the documentation PDF from the jffnms site? Programs I have no problems at all, just anything with a .pdf extension. I have no problems with pdf with other sites.
Last question: I am, or though I was, subscribed to this list as I have been getting the messages. When I tried to post I got rejected. I re-joined the list again, but curious as what happend.
