I've installed JFFNMS on a Win2K box, and I have some simple questions...

From previous reading (yeah I've been reading the Listserv before I posted) Network autodiscovery doesn't workon Windows...Makes this a little impractical in my environment!!! - I have thousands of "interfaces" I'd like to monitor and I don't want to enter them manually! I haven't seen any reasons WHY.  That would be nice.  Possibly some of us PHP programmers, Network Engineers could help!

Can I just do a simple ping - yeah I'm alive test?
I have several "Interfaces" that I just want to know if there alive, and nothing else.  So far I haven't found a way to do this.

Is there a way to manually add a "interface" without doing a discovery on it?

I'm coming from using Nagios, and Cacti...hoping JFFNMS would sort of bring it all together.

Any help appreciated.
