We have the same issue. It cannot properly discover these with JFFNMS or MRTG's "cfgmaker" script because those old first gen Dell switches don't display the description. I'm assuming that's what JFF uses to differentiate. They will work with MRTG if you use the arbitrary # associated with it. It seems to be the fault of these switches, my "fix" has been not to use them (the 3024's are super flaky, even with a firmware update you can only get from Dell's tech support if you call them). --falz ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
