Well, not my laptop, but I have desktop machine running gentoo +
2.6.14-rc1, booting from jfs, and it's not having any problems
rebooting.  It has an AC97 soundcard, but it currently that code
compiled into the kernel, rather than modules.  The only loaded module
is e100.
