I've been researching a really odd problem for a while, and I'm pretty certain that I've now finally narrowed it down to a 'mv' not moving but copying. Whilst researching it, I even came upon my own report of the very same problem last year in July:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00800.html As I suspected back then, the problem _is_ somehow tied to the load on the machine. Dave, you suggested stracing the make, but that'll be difficult - the make is run about once every 1-2 seconds, and without being to reproduce the problem on demand, that's a lot of stracing :-) What else could I strace? Would it help tracing the 'mv'? /Per Jessen, Zürich ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
